Wall

Informations+

The difference between dry wall and masonry wall is whether or not mortar is used to join the stones. To estimate the quantity required to complete a project, one needs to know the façade area to be covered, which is equal to the width multiplied by the height. Depending on the type of wall used, an area of 18 to 25 ft2/ton can be covered.

The stones used for this type of project can be random or block.

Random
The random wall is offered in different thicknesses and colours. The thickness of the stone is based on the height of the wall and the desired effect.

The higher the wall, the thicker the stones will be in order to reinforce the stability of the wall. Come by and pick out the configuration and colour that will best complement your property.
Block

Slender in shape, this stone type generally comes in varying lengths and defined depths.  Although more costly than a random wall, they are far easier to install.

For anyone planning to do build a wall themselves, this is the best product to consider. This type of stone also comes in different thicknesses; 4" block may be used for borders or a masonry wall.

Retaining wall
If you choose large boulder-like stones to build a more imposing wall, you can opt for ordinary, irregularly-shaped rockery stones or flat stone blocks (sorted by thickness or not). Proper machinery will be required for such work. Flat stones will allow the wall to be built more quickly and will enhance its stability, in addition to creating a dramatic effect, all while remaining natural.
